Comments: In December 1875 the Harwich tug LIVERPOOL rescued all 173 passengers and crew
remaining alive on the wrecked Norddeutscher Lloyd passenger ship DEUTSCHLAND which had been wrecked on the Kentish Knock Sands the previous day after going significantly off course in heavy gales and blizzards.
